Our story begins in 1995 with our founder Yunshui Chen’s ambitious vision.
The telecommunications infrastructure at that time had virtually no existing air conditioning industry to support it. Spotting this vacuum, Yunshui leveraged his experience as a cooling systems salesman to fill a void.
AIRSYS began selling imported cooling units to telecom companies. As demand surged, so did AIRSYS’ capacities. AIRSYS seized the opportunity and started investing in local manufacturing to meet the escalating demand.
A third strategic move came several years later, as AIRSYS focused on expanding into niche global markets and establishing itself internationally.
30 years later, in the present day, our global headquarters is in Greer, SC, which serves as the center of gravity for our global operations. As we keep expanding our R&D and manufacturing facilities in this region, the US headquarters is a flagship for the company’s capabilities, proudly serving our clients nationwide and globally.
And what about the future? Our ambition for growth and innovation has defined us since the beginning, and this is not going to change. As our R&D teams relentlessly explore and develop cutting-edge cooling solutions poised to transform the industry, we are also laying the groundwork for an expanded facility double the size. This increased capacity will empower us to elevate our service capabilities, providing clients with an even higher level of excellence and technical support.

AIRSYS founded
AIRSYS is founded in 1995 by Yunshui Chen.
AIRSYS’ staff exceeds 100 employees
AIRSYS continues to grow and reaches over 100 employees in just two years.
AIRSYS makes a major industry shift
Beginning in 1999, AIRSYS shifts from distribution to manufacturing cooling solutions for telecom centers and buildings.
AIRSYS wins a major award
AIRSYS wins the GE “Global Supplier Technology Innovation Award” for the first time in the company’s history.
Major product development and release
AIRSYS releases the DataCool and Optima product family.
AIRSYS receives major certifications
AIRSYS becomes ISO14000 and OHSAS18000 certificate approved and a qualified supplier of Verizon.
AIRSYS launches another major product
AIRSYS launches the revolutionary DataCool Package series.
International expansion
AIRSYS opens their UK branch and becomes a qualified supplier of British Telecom.
AIRSYS wins a major award
AIRSYS wins Frost & Sullivan’s 2015 Product Line Strategy Leadership Award.

AIRSYS reaches a milestone 100 overseas subsidiaries.

AIRSYS South Carolina is opened, becoming the company’s new global headquarters and base for all U.S. and international operations.
Continued expansion
AIRSYS North America announces that it is expanding its facility in South Carolina to double its current size. This increased capacity will empower AIRSYS to elevate it’s service capabilities, providing clients with an even higher level of excellence and support.
AIRSYS celebrates 30 years
AIRSYS expands with world’s largest 3D printing site dedicated to liquid cooling
AIRSYS breaks ground on a new, state-of-the-art 264,000 sq. ft. manufacturing campus in Upstate South Carolina. This facility will house the largest 3D printing factory in the world dedicated to liquid cooling.
